Brooke Ellison Inspiration

I recently saw a movie called, The Brooke Ellison Story. It’s based on a true story about Brooke Ellison, the first quadriplegic to graduate from Harvard University. It’s a heart warming story of not only someone who refused to let her disability limit her but also a story of a mother’s incredible love for her child. The movie was directed by Christopher Reeve and aired in 2004. Here’s a scene near the ending of the movie, a condensed version of Brooke’s commencement speech:

“Miracles happen. They have happened to me and they are happening to you. You need only look to the people in your lives in order to see them.” – Brooke Ellison
